DARK MATTER

We thought we’d better give you a heads up and a few more details about the Alice in Wonderland auditions this week.

Regular D+CFilm readers will remember that Tim Burton is set to direct with Johnny Depp heavily rumoured to star as the Mad Hatter - though we’re not convinced he’ll jump at yet another kooky Burton role.

Anyhoo, the film’s casting agents are coming to Plymouth’s New Continental Hotel on Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7 between 10am and 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, auditioning for paid extras.

There is a minimum age limit of 16 and every participant must bring their passports.

The casting agents are looking for girls with long hair and men with natural styles. Those auditioning must be able to get two weeks off in September for filming.

Oh, and word to the wise - D+CFilm is hearing rumours that actors with, ahem, ‘a darker complexion’ need not apply. We assume this kinda thing is commonplace in film auditions but you may beg to differ. If so, post a comment below.
