The Exeter Picturehouse is pliet-ing full-tilt into is ballet season, which starts on Sunday July 20 at 4pm with Sylvia.

The three films – Sylvia, The Sleeping Beauty and Romeo and Juliet – all in HD, and all recorded on the BBC carry with them the class segregating cost of £12.50, with concessions coming in at £11, underlining the fact that even pre-recorded ‘high culture’ carries a high price. Even on DVD Sylvia is around £20.

The film of Sylvia (recorded by the BBC on 5 December 2005) features Darcey Bussell in her last performance with The Royal Ballet. So pop along to the ballet at the cinema, and take the kids, it’s only £3 for them.
