SCREENWRITERS’ FESTIVAL
Christopher Hampton the Oscar winning writer of Dangerous Liaisons takes a look at his recent adaption of Atonement at the Screenwriters’ Festival
Already in its third year, the Screenwriters’ Festival will unravel its own special plot between Tuesday and Thursday (July 1 and July 3) next week. There are only 50-ish tickets left, but do not fear, your trusty D+CFilm will be there covering all the action/romance/comedy, etc.
Festival director David Pearson told D+CFilm: “The Screenwriting Festival is dedicated to the art, craft, education and business of writing for the screen. It attracts writers, producers, developers, financiers and executives from across the breadth of the screen and broadcasting industries for three invigorating days of keynote speeches, screenings, debates, case studies, seminars and workshops.”
Screenwriters, alas, are often overlooked but there are some household names in the role-call of talent that will be present at the festvial, and they’ll all be offering their own pearls of wisdom.
