Gaint tale

Cornwall is filled with giants - in the world of media, and otherwise – so it should come as no surprise that the tale of Tom and the Giant, a modern re-telling of a Cornish fairytale, has stomped off with a prize at the Celtic Media Festival.

The film was made by Will Coleman and Robin Kewell. ‘It was just a bit of fun really,’ said Will, who dressed up as a road worker while Robin fimed him telling stories to tourists in a traffic jam on the A30.

If you want to watch the film, pop along to Gallants Sailing Club, Fowey, Thursday May 15, at 6.30pm, where it will be shown during a free programme of Cornish short films to launch ‘vaRnishing Cornwall’, a project to make a community film in Fowey.
