£1,000 for young filmmakers (video)
Speak your mind, make a film and win some dosh, what could be easier?
Young filmmakers and ranters are being asked to give out about what gets their goat for a collaboration between South West Debates and Chew TV, with the winning entry picking up a cool £1,000.
Simon Hooton, head of policy and strategy at the South West RDA, told D+CFilm: “Young people are the ones who will be responsible for this world in the near future and now is the time for them to speak up and let hundreds of thousands of people know what they feel and what they think we should be doing to call a halt to some of the issues we are facing.”
Tamsin Harvey of Chew TV said: “Chew TV is all about young people having their say and making their voice heard and our collaboration with the South West Debates gives local people a chance to make a difference while showcasing their film making talents to the film and TV industries globally.”
You need to be aged between 16 and 25 and living in the South West and you’ve got three weeks – the deadline is April 25. The film needs to be 90 seconds long, and all the other submission details are on the film below.
