Bag it up (video)
Teignmouth’s ‘carrier bags is bad, innit?’ wheeze is to get a bidova boost with a free showing of a BBC film about the damage they do to the environment.
The free screening of Message In The Waves will be at the Carlton Theatre today (that’s February 2, kids) at 7pm.
The event will include a bloke from the Marine Conservation Society chatting about the problems plastic bags cause in the environment and stuff.
Oh, and the lovely Rebecca Hoskins, the campaigner who made Modbury the first plastic bag-free town in the UK, worked as a camera operator on the film which is nice.
Want more information? Course you do. Get on the blower and call 01626 779792. Here’s the trailer.
