Animated response (video)

If you’re a budding animator, you only have a few more days to submit your meisterwerk for next year’s Animated Exeter festival.

Yup, the deadline for entries is November 2 (that’s this Friday, diary frotters!)
so you’d better get a wriggle on.

Categories include Best of the West (open to South West student animators), Exanimation (open to children, young people’s animation workshops, school groups or individuals under the age of 18 in the South West) and Screen Out Loud (open to amateur and professional animators across the South West).

All films must be under 10 minutes long and produced after October 2006. Entry forms and the so-called ‘terms and conditions’ are available on the website. The festival runs from February 11-23 next year.

The full festival programme for 2008 is being announced on Wednesday, so stay tuned to D+CFilm for all the AE news fit to print.

In the meantime, here’s Le Bon Numero, by Aurelie Charbonnier, which was shown at last year’s Animated Exeter. It’s in French but we think you’ll get the idea. Sacre-bloody-bleu!
