Ruff guide (video)
There’s a special advance screening of Elizabeth: The Golden Age at Exeter Picturehouse tomorrow night (that’ll be Thursday, then).
The film starts at 7.30pm and will be followed by one of those live satellite Q&A thingies, featuring star Geoffrey Rush and director Shekhar Kapur.
And if all that’s not enough for you, there’ll also be live Elizabethan music courtesy of Quodlings Delight (we’re not sure if it needs an apostrophe or not), performing in the bar at 6.30pm.
Also, to get into the Elizabethan spirit, the Picturehouse staff will be tottering around like purfumed ponces in satin and ruffs. Poor blighters. Curse Sir Walter Raleigh, we say. He was such a stupid git. Apparently.
Check out our Arthouse Roundup for booking information. In the meantime, here’s the Golden Age trailer. Off with their heads. Or something.
