Gore values (video)
Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth is the main attraction at the second Transition Torbay event tonight (Thursday).
We know what you’re thinking - hasn’t everyone seen that movie by now?
Well, we’d reply, at least the TT bods’ hearts seem to be in the right place - especially given the recent debate as to whether the film should be shown in schools or not, yada yada yada.
As far as we can see, the only reason not to show the flick to kids is cos it’ll depress the hell outta them. ‘Here you go, children. We’ve broken the planet, but here’s what you can do to sort it out, yeah?’.
Anyway, we digress (as per usual). The flick is well worth another look and will be shown at Occombe Farm in Paignton, at 7pm tonight.
It’ll cost you absolutely nothing to attend but a £2 donation is suggested.
Oh, and here’s the trailer. You could probably watch the whole film online too but that’s hardly the point now, is it?
