Ready for Actions (video)

We’ve been wittering on about the Cornwall Film Festival so much, we almost forgot to tell you about Screen Actions, which takes place on November 8-9 - two days before the Cornwall Film Festival.

Organised by young people for young people, Screen Actions aims to give kids aged eight to 18 a look at the realities of movies, with various workshops, screenings and guest speakers.

Last year over 300 young people from 30 schools and groups checked out work by Cornwall’s young filmmakers and partied into the night at their very own Oscar evening.

This year, the event will be screening some 45 films by young Cornish filmmakers and workshops include VJing, sfx make-up, blue screen work
and animation.

The fest ends with a showing of Studio Ghibli’s Tales From Earthsea.
