Avuncular presenter Dick Strawbridge, from telly’s It’s Not Easy Being Green, is hosting Saving Planet Earth: South West tonight as part of the Saving Planet Earth season.
The show sees Dick tracking down basking sharks off the Cornish coast, looking for rare beetles on Dartmoor (no, not Ringo Starr) and otter spotting on the River Dart.
Apparently, Strawbridge discovers that the best way to track otters is by sniffing their turds. Careful not to get poo in your moustache, Dick!
Saving Planet Earth: South West is on BBC1 tonight at stupidly-early time of 7pm. Here’s a clip of Dick erecting a wind generator. But of course.
