Hot on the heels of founder member Elizabeth-Jane Baldry’s premiere of Childe Rowland at the Exeter Picturehouse, the Chagford Filmmaking Group is set to start shooting its fourth film, a Cornish fairytale called Cherry of Zennor, and it needs crew.
Elizabeth-Jane told D+CFilm: ‘It’s a fascinating tale with some truly
bizarre images about a teenage girl who unwittingly becomes nursemaid
in a fairy household.
‘Shooting dates are July 29 to August 3 and we need a huge team of enthusiasitc friendly folk. If you would enjoy expanding your social life, having fun in the woods and seeing your work in a film, please consider joining us.’
Fine sentiments indeed, Elizabeth-Jane, but bearing in mind that this will be the fourth short film the group has made and one of its members is Oscar-winner Alan Lee, who picked up the gong for his work on Lord of the Rings, and has been part of the team that brought you The Chronicles of Narnia, King Kong and Labyrinth, it may just be your chance to gain a bucketful of experience.
The group has crew, acting, pre-production and general posts that all need to be filled. So book your ticket for Tinsel Town, we mean Chagford, now and get
in touch.
