Tonight (and every third Tuesday of the month) sees the first ever Filmclub, running from 8pm at the swanky Mi Bar on Falmouth High Street.
The shindig will take the opportunity to look at some of the best short films from Cornwall in the last coupla years.
Flicks set to feature include new student stuff from UCF, Mark Jenkin’s Lobsterman, Paul Farmer’s Birt Dynely, and Paul Baritt’s Family Day Out – as well as some of the best movies from the last Cornwall Film Festival.
And that’s not all. There’ll also be trailers for forthcoming attractions, including three drama features currently in post production in Cornwall for release later this year.
Admission is £3/£2 on the door – and remember: the first rule of Filmclub
is that everyone talks about Filmclub. Spread the word and go along to see
for yourself.
Just don’t start a homoerotic scrap and blow up a skyscraper. Filmclub frowns on that kinda thing.
