Dead good (video)
After the huge success of Hot Fuzz, praps it’s time to go back and have a
look at the far superior Shaun Of The Dead - which by some strange
coincidence is showing at Carnglaze Caverns, Liskeard on April 13. What were the chances, eh?
Screening in conjunction with the Cornwall Film Festival, Edgar Wright’s classic romzomcom (or is that the other way round?) is an everyday tale of life, love and the living dead, focusing on a group of friends who encounter a literal night from hell at their local pub, under attack from a zombie invasion.
But then you knew all that dincha, cos you’ve seen the film, like, 10 times already.
What it comes down to is you can catch it in the atmospheric surrounds of the Rum Store (whatever that is) and there’s a free pint of beer for anyone dressed as a zombie - which is good news for D+CFilm, cos we go everywhere looking like a zombie.
Tickets are £7.50 for adults and £5 for U16s. Call 01579 320251 to book or visit the lovely Cornwall Film Festival site. And what the hey, let’s have a look at a clip while we’re at it.
