Write stuff
A compo for budding screenscribblers has been launched on the International Screenwriters’ Festival website.
The D+Cineastes who come up with the best outline for a ten-minute film will be invited to attend an evening workshop to help complete their idea and improve their screenwriting skills.
The ‘lucky’ writer then has four weeks to complete the script and submit it to the Screenwriters’ Festival. Quick quick, time is money, you know?!
Yes, it may all sound a bit much like hard work, but the writers of the three winning scripts will be presented with complimentary passes for a Rising Talent event at the International Screenwriters’ Festival in Cheltenham and, more importantly, cash prizes. That’s what we like to hear!
The deadline for entries is Friday, so you’d better get scribbling. Oh, and if you think you’re pretty special but can’t be bothered with the whole competition thang, South West Screen is offering a limited number of bursaries to help D+Cineastes attend the Rising Talent event. Click here for details.
