Indi kids (video)

It’s always nice to hear from the lovely Reel Indi chaps. Their youthful energy and commitment never fails to put a soppy smile on our faces.

But what the heck have they been up to recently? It’s funny you should ask, cos they just got in touch to tell D+CFilm about last week’s event.

Here is what they had to said:

‘Some 20 people, aged from 18 to 80, came along to Reel Indi Independent Youth Cinema at North Devon’s Tapeley Park on Wednesday.

‘They saw the long-awaited premiere of Alex Jones’ latest trendsetting documentary TerrorStorm, which delivers a powerful sucker punch to the architects of global terrorism and how they stage “false flag” events to achieve political and sociological ends.

‘Next up was The Ferryman by local filmmaker Nathaniel Lane. A lyrical tale of a young boy’s rites of passage the short film was shot on locations in North Devon and North Cornwall and involved local people as actors and crew.

‘The film also won First Prize at the Yaroslavl Golden Ring Film Festival in Russia, been shown at more than seventeen international film festivals and was selected for the British Council touring film show.

‘Between showings there was music as well as food and drink from Marshford Organics - support your local shops!

‘There was also a well-stocked book stall containing anarchist/feminist/socialist/
anti-capitalist literature for sale and an exhibition of local art.’

Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it?  If you wanna get involved with the next Reel Indi event (they’re showing Mind The Gap, David Shayler’s excellent look at 7/7 London bombings, on April 4) send a righteous email to northdevonactiveyouth@hotmail.co.uk

Oh, and Shayler will also be at the event, hanging round and answering questions. Perhaps we’ll find out his opinion on last month’s irresponsibly dumb BBC 9/11 documentary.

Speaking of which, we’ve got all excited about Alex Jones’ TerrorStorm.
