Animated response
The Exeter Picturehouse is once again teaming up with other venues across the city to host this year’s Animated Exeter Festival, which, in case you’re not paying attention, started yesterday.
Picturehouse’s Andy Botterill told D+CFilm: “It is always a delight to be part of Animated Exeter and to have the opportunity to work with other venues to help bring this ever growing festival to the people of Exeter.”
“The programme this year seems even more exciting than in previous years, and we’re really looking forward to it being another huge success.”
The Picturehouse, which has been involved with the festival for eight years, will be hosting a series of animation screenings, while other activities are being hosted by Exeter Phoenix, the Spacex Gallery, Exeter College, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter Library and Exeter University.
The Picturehouse screenings will kick off on Saturday with Exanimation (U), a selection of films made by South West students, before continuing with International Festival Hits Parts 1-4 (15) from February 17 to 23.
To find out what else the Picturehouse has in store for Animated Exeter, you’d best have a look at their website. Off you go then.
