What’s up? Docs! (video)
We’re not sure how keen we’d be to get a job with a company called Workhorse, but Exeter’s Workhorse TV seem to be getting involved in some pretty interesting stuff.
Not least, their Super-8 Cities Project, a feature-length collection of short documentaries filmed by talented lensers from across the world on - surprise! - Super-8.
The contributors collaborated through sites such as Shooting People, cinematography.com and filmshooting.com showing how bloody great the internet actually is (but then D+Cineastes knew that already, dincha?).
The DVD also comes with a booklet which yammers on about cameras, stocks, shooting ratios and telecine; which is pretty useful if you wanna get into shooting on super-8mm yourself.
Check out the Super-8 Cities website to find out how you can get yer hands on a copy. Meanwhile, here’s the trailer to whet your proverbial appetite. Yeah, it looks like it’s not working but it is. Honest. (Oops, no it’s not! Sniiiiip!)
