Road movie

Oscar-winning director Andrea Arnold is in town tonight to answer questions about her latest flick. Well, when we say ‘in town’ we mean
‘at Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion’.

Winner of the 2006 Jury Prize at Cannes, Red Road is a stunning thriller based around the life of CCTV operator Jackie. One day a dodgy bloke appears on one of her monitors and she feels compelled to confront him, in a shaky-shaky handheld manner. You know the sorta thing.

Jonathan Ross described the movie as ’a journey any true film fan should make’, but since when did anyone listen to him? And besides, he probably said exactly the same thing about fucken Batman And Robin.

Either way, you’ll probably be busting with questions by the time the movie finishes, so why not make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity?
And, who knows, maybe Andrea will want to yap about her tenure on kids’ telly favourite No 73 - what was Frank Sidebottom really like. Tickets are available on 01326 211222.
